Obama to GOP: “Where’s Your Solution To Health Reform?”

Posted by admin on September 14th, 2009 and filed under solution |

President Obama comments on health reform at the AFL-CIO Labor Day Picnic in Cincinnati.

He began the speech by commenting on labor in general, as well as the economy, when he switched the subject. “Just in case you were wondering,” he says, “we’re also going to build an America where health reform delivers more stability and security to every American.” He declined to go into detail, advising the crowd to tune in on Wednesday night.

While he remarked that the debates on health reform have been “good,” he said that “every debate at some point comes to an end… It’s time to act and get this thing done.”

Obama also had a challenge to Republicans opposed to health reform: “What are you gonna do? What’s your answer? What’s your solution? And you know what? They don’t have one! Their answer is to do nothing.”

    If that were true, …
If that were true, you wouldn’t have been so far off the mark as you are.

Your umptions likely came from a fabricated world image you’ve constructed to make yourself feel better about your opinions.

My point was that unnecessary military spending doesn’t compare to public health spending, and you retort with something completely unrelated and untrue. How can you expect me (or anyone else for that matter) to take your opinion seriously?

    i made umptions …
i made umptions based on the reality of the current social and historical climate of the world we live in.

Your avoiding my question. I would like to know where you found that stat about cancer. I happen to know that anyone with duel citizenship comes to Canada for cancer treatment because it’s better. They go to the US system for surgeries because it’s faster, although they will have to pay.

    “how can you make …
“how can you make such a conjecture based on a 8 word remark.”

Easy. It was irrelevant. Not only that but it brought little to the discussion, which indicated to me that you aren’t an intelligent person.

And now you are making umptions pulled out of thin air. Not something an intelligent person would do.

    the only difference …
the only difference between you, is that americans are indoctrinated to believe they are superlative of freedom, and canadian are indoctrinated to believe that they are sophisticated, reserved, and benign in nature. in reality, your both masses of mentally enslaved peons, the descendants of those whom endured blatant subjugation, and humiliation, in service to their masters. they were feudal slaves, your a post industrial “useless eater” as they call it. your a bred sucker in other words.

  7. issareign Says:

were is the lack of …
were is the lack of logic within my short comment. how can you make such a conjecture based on a 8 word remark. i guess its common for you to call people stupid, since youre canadian? cgord31 comment only concurs with that ertion. both of you are canadians, and both of you are deluded with grandeur over the fact that you are canadian, as though being canadian automatically means that you are some god creature compared to americans, when in reality you are the exact same intellectually.

$400/month is typical if your employer does not carry insurance or if you are self employeed and have to pay out of pocket. especially if you have kids.

First of all cancer survival is slightly better here than canada. That in itself says that treatment of cancer patients is better under our sytstem. Govt. care by necessity turns into rationing as any monopoly would bear that out.

He is an excellent orator!!! However, even citizens in other countries are saying he is “all talk”. He spends his time pointing backwards blaming rather than moving forward and doing something actually productive for this country. The people he surrounds himself with say it all. I especially like how he hired the King Tax Cheat Giethner as the head of the Treasury. Very sad!!

    No, how about YOU …
No, how about YOU tell me why Obama and the dems are trying to make health insurance more fair for people, and republicans are trying to stop them without ANY reform plans or ideas of their own.

You think dems can’t resort to blatant propaganda & fearmongering like republicans? of course they can-but they don’t NEED to, because they aren’t doing something sinister, so they can use logic & reason instead. They’re doing what people who were LISTENING during the campaign elected them to do.

  25. issareign Says:

    well actually, this …
well actually, this country ended along time ago. who are you to judge, or WHO IS ANYONE to judge that - that which someone owns, they are undeserving of? corporate greed? no no, corporate CONTROL. ok? the fact that campaign contributions from these mega corps are even allowed to do this is of greater concern to this nation then anything else. obama wasnt supported by your every day hard working poor person, he was massively funded by already filthy rich people. WHY do you think that is?
