Here’s the web site. Just plug the guitar into your sound card or interface

Yes, you can use it …
Yes, you can use it as a stand alone. It is a separate program to Reason. If you have Reason it can be used together so you get to use all of Reason’s instruments and have the ability to record audio.

    HAHA I’ve have …
HAHA I’ve have waited long and hard.. I got Reason 5 years ago and only used it once… But now with the SSL 9000k emulation I’m sure sounds better now because I can’t stand the sound of Reason..

So Reason is now RECORD. The new name doesn’t mean nothing to me (not catchy enough) but I wish the best to propellerheads and I hope the audio engine is now a real kicker. I will sure be using this on the road with the band. How much is it and how much is the upgrade?

WHAT no VST? mmmh! uh oh!

    It does not require …
It does not require rewire to use reason within record. You just select your reason devices as you did in reason. It’s Just like Reason, with audio recording ability and an SSL mixer.

record detects if you already have reason running on your system.
if reason is there, you only have to run record. in record then you can insert any reason instrument in the same way as you do it in reason. it automatically creates a sequencer track and a mixer channel, just like in reason. no rewire needed. pretty cool, in my opinion.

no VST support…it’s self-contained…but you can rewire it as a slave program to another daw….

oh i’ve been waiting for this! I can see this soon being an industry standard. If anyone has used reason and know the effects rack, know how getting to incorporated them into the full recording process is a dream. i have a hard on.

Want!!!!! Although I do have to say for $250 (without Reason or a hardware interface) it seems kinda steep. I already have a Line 6 Toneport and Cakewalk, so it seems redundant….but still compelling!

    Although it’s very …
Although it’s very powerful software, I do agree that the fact that it lacks VSTs makes it less versatile… but then again, it’s similar to macs and is even advertised on a mac. A mac avoids potential software crashes that a windows could and it does have a strong userbase willing to make fancy shmancy stuff for it, but it just doesn’t compare to the limits of other OS’s… like Reason/Record doesn’t compare to VST compatible audio software.

So you’ve got a dongle, no VST support, and you’re saying it’s better than anything already out there? For $300 there are so many better options, it’s not even funny.
