What do you think about Nick Griffin being on Question Time and the controversy surrounding it?

Don’t you think the liberals trying to stop it are being hypocritical by trying to stop free speech, which isn’t even racist any more? How can they be liberal if they are doing something that is essentially facist?

(I do not like Nick Griffin or the BNP just to let you know though).

Nick Griffin was fairly and squarely voted in by individuals in this country and therefore has as much right to stand up and have his say as all the others. His views are shared by quite a lot of people even if only in part - when the Big 3 were "bullying" him on Question Time didn’t they stop to think that a lot of people would find this distasteful and in effect make him more popular to some? Just because he dares to speak against the majority this should not be a reason to silence him and persecute him. I have to say I listened with interest to all that was said and could not really argue with his points as there was an element of truth in a lot of what he said whether people like to admit it or not - also, I think they should invite him to another Question Time stint, say in the North West or Yorkshire, and let the British audience see what people in these locations have to say - I think it would be a totally different programme than the one that was aired tonight!

At the end of the day a hell of a lot of people, who DO NOT vote for the BNP are sick to the back teeth of being told they cannot say this, cannot do that for fear of upsetting others etc, etc, political correctness is going mad and it is refreshing to listen to somebody who really doesn’t give a damn about upsetting the applecart so to speak. It is a shame that more and more people don’t do the same thing. I mean, last time I checked, we were still a democracy X

I have no problem Nick Griffin being on Question Time and those simple minded protesters trying to stop him only made more people watch it and by doing so gave him more publicity. We are a country who gives freedom of speech, the only problem I have is how people interpret his message, views and ideals! I just hope the other parties get their act together cos its there fault Nick Griffin is on Question time in the first place.

i feel that he was bullied last night and wasn’t allowed to get his views and opinions across. this was due to the fact that the audience continuously asked him questions, but then weren’t giving him time to answer them. Fair play to Nick for standing up for what he believes in. The BNP should be allowed every right to have their say, like other political parties. I feel that question time was unfair and people are aware on how the media overreacts, but people did not accept that yeah he may have said things, but you can’t blame him, its what he believes in. The members of the audience were having there say on what they believe in, so why couldn’t he?
