I have a friend who is from India and she wants to become a teacher in the US. Who can she talk to find out information about making this happen? Is there a person she can call, or I can call for her? Any help would be appreciated thanks!

Well, depends on her education background most. If she has an education degree or is already teaching in India, she should check with the state she plans on teaching in about reciprocity requirements. They may require her to take the TOEFL or BERLITZ test for language, but maybe not. Reciprocity check through the state is the key. Tell them the situation and provide them w/ info on what certifications and/or background she already has. That will help them. Get as much info as you can from her about her current teaching situation and they will be able to help you more through the Department of Educataion.
