How much homework is generally given to high school students in England?

Sorry if I sound like an idiot asking this.

I want to be part of a student exchange program in England and so I have been doing some research.

The thing that I have been wondering about is how much homework do high school students get assigned?

I would prefer the answer from a current or former high school student from England, but all answers are welcome!

Thank you ahead of time :)
I’m in Year 10, I’m 15 years old. We’re supposed to get homework in most of our lessons, mainly English, Maths and Science.
I study Art and Design, Psychology Spanish and Religious, and I only get homework every few weeks.
At my school, when we’ve got exams, other subjects aren’t supposed to give us homework because we’re supposed to revise.
This is only what happens in my school, I’m not sure about anywhere else, I suppose all schools are different.

Hope this helps :)

We don’t have high schools in England. Apparently you didn’t do _that_ much research :(

What age are you talking about? A 17 year old will get far more homework than a 14 year old.

We dont have high schools here. Secondary schools are from Year 7 to Year 13.

You give your GCSE exams in Year 11 and Year 12 AS Level and Year 13 A2 Level.

I suppose you could do some more research.
