I need some technologies before 1995 and after 1900. Technologies that have changed the way people have lived and had an impact on environment. Not only natural environment but all around.
Here is an extensive list so have your pick

What were the new military technologies and strategies of 18th century warfare? Who made up the bulk of the soldiers and officers? Describe (1) one example of a political war of the period.
the soldiers are equipped with new flintlock rifles which is safer than the matchlock rifles, new military formations to make the firepower more effective, heavier artillery to terrify on every soldier it hits, the weapons have longer range than the past centuries making it deadlier.
Excluding technologies such as healthy diet and lifestyle.
I refuse to die! Please no responses about how we are destined to die, unless there is solid proof of some sort life extension is impossible.
My guess is that it has occurred, although not enough time has passed for verification.
There is a non-profit organization dedicated to just that purpose (no set limit). It was founded in 1983 (I think) and inspired, and contributed to, by Durk Pearson (triple major - Physics, Biology, Psychology - w/a triple minor at MIT) and Sandy Shaw (double major - Chemistry, Zoology - and a minor at UCLA), co-authors of "Life Extension, a Practical Scientific Approach" (1982). They are/were the only instance of anyone ever beating the FDA (unanimous decision), in a landmark case involving allowing claims for scientifically proven health benefits for supplements. Durk has also done a lot of work for NASA and oil shale research (US Dept. of Energy), among other things. They are the real deal, as evidenced by the extensive research done by them, and others, and thoroughly documented by credits/attributions/references to the actual research papers in their book.
From the Life Extension Foundation site (about us):
"The Life Extension Foundation is a nonprofit organization, whose long-range goal is the extension of the healthy human lifespan. In seeking to control aging, our objective is to develop methods to enable us to live in vigor, health and wellness for an unlimited period of time. The Life Extension Foundation was officially incorporated in 1980, but its founder has been involved in antiaging research since the 1960s.
The Life Extension Foundation is the largest organization dedicated to investigating every method of extending the healthy human life span. When seeking methods to slow aging, The Foundation often uncovers potential anti-aging supplements to treat conditions associated with aging."

Which are the technologies to come which will reduce the internet connection lag?
Will the ISP be interested on that? Many server side services as OnLive (Gaming) and others which were not yet launched need no latency to run properly. I wish we had researchers working on that as well as ISP willing to really improved the connection quality, not only the bandwidth.
There is satellite , I have a 50 mbps broadband with a speed booster its lighting fast.I can run 4 computers at once with no delay. Are you using dial up? Perhaps its your provider.
My family is a busy family and do not know much about all the latest technologies and what i know is in bits and pieces.I want to know everything possible.Sometimes friends get irritated by my curiosity. Please suggest something.
read mags like:
Digit(Rs150-200),
PC World(Rs.125-150),
Chip(Rs. 125)..
these will surely help u as it helped me..

What technologies are available to determine the acidity of a solution?
These days we have electronic pH meters. These work by sticking an electrode in a solution and measuring the current that flows, and hence the ions present. Most use glass membranes to only let H+ ions in.
You can calibrate these by sticking them in a buffer solution of known pH.
They are pretty quick and easy to use, and give fairly accurate readings.
We also have pH paper and indicators- indicators change colour at a certain pH. By combining indicators, you can establish a pH range.
I am trying to do some free-lancing and in conversion with few opportunities. Now I need to provide an estimation. So wanted to know what is the standard rate for developers in India. I need to submit proposals in different technologies - ASP.Net, Share Point and PHP. Kindly advice.
Short answer: A ballpark for web development is $15/hour, especially if you’re still just trying to make a name for yourself.
Better answer: Not just in India but anywhere in the world, this is one of the areas where you have to fish around to find out what the other person is willing to offer. Contracting is tricky that way. You can’t put a static price anywhere the public can see it. If you google around, you’ll see what I’m talking about, no one has quotes listed for this kind of thing. The second you put a price out there, is the second someone else can to undercut you.
Sometimes you do have to throw a number out there before the other person will tell you how much they are willing to spend. In that situation, you should do this:
Ask yourself how much time the project is likely to take
Find out how much it is going to cost you to work on the project (even sitting at home takes time and resources, and every minute you spend working on one project is one less minute you have for another project)
Take that amount and triple it.
Divide that by the number of hours the project will take.
I say triple instead of double because the nature of freelance work is that you will be between jobs for a while and need the extra money to tide you over and stay marketable to other people while you are out of work.
Probably the most reliable way to find out how much you can get for a job, is to call around and ask other people and companies how much they would charge for similar work. Hands down that will always give you the best answer to your question.
Also, don’t trust an answer that’s more than three months old, or any number anyone gives you on a help forum like this (including mine, sorry).
How is it being used in current situations and what are the technologies behind it?
Thanks!
I go to a technological school so we all get laptops and it’s helping a lot with learning and preparing for difficulties in life. As further development of this technology the school has started using Second Life as a learning tool called Skoolaborate and its not just us it’s a whole bunch of schools from around the world so far we have i think 9 schools signed up and working in it…. from Australia, New Zealand, America, Indonesia and i think soon to be China.. go have a look at the link below most of the posts in there are by me
i’m good at writing can’t seem to stop lol
I am doing a project in my AP World history class and I needed to know the new technologies of the Greek and Persian wars.
the Greek trireme
Hoplite shield and armor
Greek formation of the "phalanx", fighting as a unit rather than individuals.
Also, if you’re going to include Alexander the Great as part of the Greek vs Persian wars (which it was kind of, even though he was Macedonian) you could include alot more, including siege engines, steampower, and much more.
I cant seem to find any reviews or anything for alloy technologies brand rims. I’m looking at a set of 24" chrome ones. Does anyone have a pair of chrome alloy techs and are there any problems with them?
