Have a go with ‘Artrage’:
Use your own image file or create from scratch.
Add colors, different tools & brushes, palates; all kinds of very flexible features.
The freeware item is somewhat limited. Upgradable for hordes of effects.
Terrific interface & easy to use.
Freeware download.
No spyware, but does have a ‘nag’ screen.

How can I develop a software program for my aunt’s hair salon?

Posted by admin on February 14th, 2010 and filed under software | 4 Comments »

My aunt has a hair salon and I’m going to buy her a PC to make everything easier for her. I want to develop a nice looking software that will make making appointments and all of that stuff easier. I want to make this over the summer. I haven’t had much experience with developing software before. I’m not going to distribute this to the public, just personal use for my aunt. What programs do I use and can you guys give me some tips and tutorials on how to develop software?

I would use Alpha Five v9. It’s a fully relational database, not horribly expensive, and comes with samples that need little tweaking to cover a hair salon. There was an appointment module available to buy from other users, but I don’t know it is included in v9. (We still use v8 and don’t need appointments.)

The two best things - changing things just a bit is totally easy, and they have a message board full of incredibly generous users.

What is the best software to use to create your own continuos music mixes?

Posted by admin on February 9th, 2010 and filed under software | 2 Comments »

I want to make a mix of all my favourite house tracks of the moment… Ideally with them feeding in to each other as they would if a DJ was beat-matching and mixing them.
Some software that is free or not too expensive would be the best!

Renoise 2 or Garage Band

What are good pianos and good recording software to make beats?

Posted by admin on February 2nd, 2010 and filed under software | 5 Comments »

I want a good piano that I can make beats out of it (Rap) and I also want a good software in which I can record it playing using midi, or usb something like that. I also herd that you can put instruments from the program into the piano. So thanks, please describe whats good about the piano and what good about the software

not too familiar with the piano and all its components but i do know a few good softwares you can try out….Audacity is my favorite (mostly because i took the time to learn all of it - which is key) and Mix Craft…..Audacity was a little hard to pick up on but easy once you learn it, and Mix Craft is pretty easy to learn

What computer software and or webcam can I purchase to record for long periods?

Posted by admin on January 28th, 2010 and filed under software | 3 Comments »

I currently have a webcam however it does not record for extended periods of time. What I need to do is to record for 8 hours or more. I am looking for either a program that I can use with my current webcam OR a new webcam that comes with software that will allow me to record for long periods of time?

Any recommendations on software or a webcam that can do this?

Maybe have a look at this: http://www.pcauthorities.com/multimedia/record-video-with-your-webcam

Free software, but I do not know if it can record that long. Seems that would be a disk space limitation if at all.

What software is used to add an background music to a video file?

I have recorded a clip in my mobile. And now i want to add a background music to my video clip.
To do so what software should i use? Please do tell me the famous software’s used for this sort of action.

Sony Vegas Pro is good, but another professional separating audio from video application can help you solve all your problems. Audio from Video Converter provides you a handy tool to extract audio/sound or background music from video files and digital camcorder records.

To rip a song or episode from a movie, Audio out of Video Converter is your best choice. With it, you can easily get MP3, WMA, WAV, RA, AAC, AC3, AIFF, AMR, FLAC, M4A, MKA, MP2 or some audio from video AVI, MP4, WMV, 3GP, MOV, VOB, MPG, ASF, RM, RMVB, FLV (Flash), etc.

Video to Audio Converter also supports converting a clip video file to audio file and join different videos, audios with highest speed on Windows XP (SP2 or later), Windows Vista, Windows 7.
When your output audio is too large to handle, Video to Audio Converter enables you to split it to several small clips by setting split time in Edit-Trim panel.

Besides, you can do further settings in advanced and general settings panels to customize output audios, e.g. choose audio sample rate, channel, encoder, etc.

What software does Intel or AMD use to design its microprocessors?

Posted by admin on January 16th, 2010 and filed under software | 1 Comment »

Hey I am wondering what software Intel or AMD or both uses to design the microprocessors they put into the CPU’s. I would assume it is some sort of CAD software but I am not sure which specific program they use I am wondering if anyone else knows.

I’m not exactly sure, they probably use something like the software packages that Mentor Graphics provide. Or maybe custom software that has been developed in-house.

What is proprietary financial software and its advantages and disadvantages?

Posted by admin on January 13th, 2010 and filed under software | 1 Comment »

What are the advantages and disadvantages of proprietary financial software and what are the disadvantages and advantages of bespoke software. Also what is proprietary financial software? How could I describe it in a essay?

"proprietary" typically means ‘owned and controlled by some-one else’ .. and (as you suggest) often ‘bespoke’ = reworked / adjusted & ‘customised’ to your specific requirements …

Some proprietary packages are written from the ground up to suit your needs .. most will simply be ‘reworks’ of the vendors existing package.

The main real advantage is that you can ask for some specific function or capability that is not available to other users and thus gain a competitive advantage over other users (the more mass market package will be aiming to address 80% or the requirements of 80% of the market .. if you need one of the 20% requirements (or are in the 20% of the market not covered) you may have no other choice but to go the proprietary route).

Disadvantages are legion .. starting with the fact that the fewer the users (and your ’special function’ may have only one user) the fewer the people finding and reporting bugs and thus a (very) slow rate of bug fixing .. and despite the fact that proprietary software is more ’specific’ to your needs, it can often have (much) less ‘general’ functionality that a mass market ‘general purpose’ package …

You will typically discover that you must pay for annual license and maintenance contracts (despite the fact that you may get no bug fixing during any given year) and that should you stop paying the software become unusable .. needless to say, if the vendor decides to drop that package (or goes out of business) you are left without support (or working software) within a year

Finally, compared to ‘off the shelf’ mass market packages, the cost is always horrendous (and once you start using it you often find you are ‘tied in’ as it stores your data in proprietary formats (sometimes encrypted) without any means to extract the data in a form suitable for importing into any other package ..

What software can I use to play a keyboard on my computer?

Posted by admin on January 10th, 2010 and filed under software | 1 Comment »

I have an M-Audio Keystation 49 usb keyboard. It came with several programs with it to teach piano, but none of them will allow me to simply plug it in and play with sound coming out of the speakers. Is there any software out there (would like free or very cheap) that can do this.

Should mention it is for a PC, with either xp or vista.

Install Fruity Loops Demo.
