How can I find which company my house is insured under?

Posted by admin on February 20th, 2010 and filed under company | 2 Comments »

My husband recently passed away ans he was the one who took care of a lot of the financial responsiblities. He never mentioned what company our house is insured under. Is there a way to find out?

I looked throughout the house and couldnt find the papers concerning house insurance. Plus, I know we had the basement of the house insured since we had a small commercial business running. But still I can’t seem to find who insured the commercial part of the house either.

A few months before he passed he changed insurance company. But he never even got a chance to tell what company it was since he died abruptly.

What can I do? I already went to the company we dealt with in the past., they are not the one who are currently insuring us.

Please help!
the house not longer mortgaged.

Are there companies that specialize in searching this type of information?

Is your home still mortgaged? If so, your mortgage company would know since it is mandatory to have the home insured if you want to have a mortgage with them.

What company advertised they would buy out your contract?

I moved and my T-Mobile service isn’t very good. They told me to buy a new phone and the new "hot spot" router or pay the $200 early termination fee. I just want a company that has service up here! My dad told me to look for the company that will buy out your old contract but I have no idea where to start.

No one does that. I know that sometimes you can break the contract on a change to your service. Example, verizon added a 40 cent charge to their bill. It stated on the bill that this change would go into affect on a certain date. They are violating the original contract by making this change. Therefore, they had to leave me out of it with no penalties. Do some research and you may be able to find a similar issue with T-Mobile

My company was victimised by a fraudulent accountant and I am not sure what to do?

He is not a qualified accountant to practice the profession. He used my company and did many dodgy things and started a new accounting firm. I am afraid to complain to Inland Revenue as it may put my company in red.

Recently he got some visa problems and leaving this country along with many clients and telling that he can do their accounts from abroad. I don’t know his client list to alert them.

What should I do and whom should I complain and how can I sort my own accounts? Please help me and guide me.

Report him to the Institute of Chartered Accountants as a start it sounds as if he is acting illegally

Can a company set up health benefits without using an insurance agent?

My company would like to offer its employees health benefits but not be registered with a health care agent/company. The company will set up a separate bank account and reimburse employees for medical expenses occurred up to a set amount. Is that possible and/or legal? How would it be expensed to the company? (FYI: the company is a very small business with only 4 employees)

Sure. It’s called self insured. I work for a company for 21 years that did it that way.

What company can my boyfriend get to insure his vehicles while my license is suspended?

Posted by admin on February 9th, 2010 and filed under company | 2 Comments »

My boyfriend lost his drivers license for about a year. His insurance company (Geico) is dropping him because he does not have a valid license now. By law, he has to have insurance on his truck. If no one will insure him without a license how is he suppose to abide by this law? I was told he could put the vehicle in my name and I can insure them but neither of us want to do that. Does anyone know of a company that will still insure him or what he is supposed to do?

He can list you as the driver on the truck, and exclude himself from coverage (seeing as he is not allowed to drive. Contact an independent insurance agent for more details.

He can not get coverage to drive the vehicle himself, because he is not legally licensed

What if a company vehicle hits a mailbox, does the company have to pay for the damage?

I was walking home from school and saw this company vehicle (Castillo Services) hit my neighbors mailbox. I want to know if the company would pay for the damage.

Hi,

The company in question will pay if your neighbor pursue the case. Since you know the name of the company, give it to your neighbor so that they can use it for their case.

It is the responsibility of the company to either repair it or pay outright for it. After payment, they will take necessary step on the driver so that it will serve as deterrant to others.

Crane & Co makes all the paper that is used for printing bills, and there is a single contract with one ink company. Does any one know which company this is?

I could tell you, but then I’d have to kill you…or at least destroy your press and confiscate the bills
