I got a new Blackberry Curve the other day. The home screen display shows several applications including Messages, Calender, Call Log and Applications.
Is there a way for me to change the applications that are displayed?
Click the main blackberry button, (the one beside the green phone button). Here you should see a full list of all the blackberry applications. The first row is what appears on the main screen. Move the application you want up to the front row.

I am teaching 2nd grade this year and they are going to have a weekly homework sheet with certain routines but I don’t want to start this until the second week of school. I still want to assign homework beginning on the first day. What are some good, easy assginments when the first week is shorter and will not be too concerned with academic work (mostly rules, class routines, and assessment)? Many thanks.

Here are a few ideas:
-Send home a copy of the classroom rules with a check box next to each rule. For homework, ask the students to check the boxes next to the rules that they think they will have the easiest time obeying using a blue crayon; using a red crayon, check the rules that they think they will have to work the hardest to follow and obey. (This activity will somewhat ensure that they have had to "contemplate" the rules and how they will apply to them personally.)
-Ask them to draw a picture of what they envision their goals to look like this year.
-Give each student a blank name card and instruct them to write their name on it and decorate it any way they would like. Once they are returned, use the name cards to help the students learn each others names.
-Tell the students to choose 10 letters from the alphabet and find/write down 10 items in their house that start with each of the letters. Tell them that the class will vote on what item is the most unique.

while I am sure there will be plenty of boiler plate answers coming in the next several hours, my advise is to not limit yourself to just web development. If the job market over the past year or so has proved anything, it is that having a variety of specialities to fall back on can mean the difference between the endless procession of interviews and an actual job. So, everything you mentioned in your question are good technologies to work with but don’t forget about the desktop side of things.

He’s not responsible as a shareholder but as long as he stays a director, he’s responsible as a director. Whether or not he can resign as a director depends on the company’s M&A. If this company has only a single director he definitely cannot resign cos that will leave the company without any directors.

A company cannot exist without any directors. But if it had the requisite no. of directors, then yes, it can stay dormant.
